Monocrystalline PV module

Monocrystalline silicon (also called "mono crystal silicon", "mono crystal Si", "mono c-Si" or mono-Si) is the basic material for silicon chips used today in almost all electronic devices. Mono-Si also serves as a photovoltaic material for absorbing light in the production of solar cells.

Because of its semiconductor properties, single crystal silicon is perhaps the most important technological material of the last few decades - the "Silicon Era".
